The name we chose was inspired by the historical Maggior Consiglio, which roughly translates to Great Council, a governmental body of the Serenissima Republic of Venice who met in the Palazzo Ducale and nominated the Doge, among other ruling tasks it performed. An age-old name cannot but be a good omen for a young company.
Maggior Consiglio was born out of passion. The estate and winery were established in 2014 in Conegliano, right in the heart of the area that is widely recognised for its gently rolling hills, its proximity to Venice, and for its exceptional Prosecco DOCG.
Quality is our point of distinction: we have a limited production and number each and every one of our bottles to make them even more special. We believe in being unique: our land and our Prosecco stand out of the crowd as do those who appreciate our wine.
Brut, Extra Dry and Blanc de blanc: we produce three lines of wine, each with its own particular characteristics in terms of aroma, flavour, and colour.
